Overview

Our client is a jewellery retail company based in India. Currently, the group has 36 jewellery stores across South India with a work-force of more than 2000 employees. They were the first jewellery store to introduce ready-made jewellery concepts and have won several awards in the jewellery industry.

Problem
Statement

Our client’s use of conventional methods to track their assets in addition to management of employees like attendance, utilization of resources etc resulted in significant losses in their sales. They were also managing their inventory by conducting time-consuming manual counts and these intensive processes made them highly susceptible to human error which also led to losing sales due to delays. They were in need of a solution to handle all these issues under one complete solution.

Our
Solution

Through the implementation of assistplus, our IoT based location and live analytics solution, Bluetooth Smart ID Cards were provided to each employee and Bluetooth Smart Tags were attached to each asset in the inventory to track their exact location. Smart Sensor Devices called CloudSense were installed at selected points to detect signals from Smart ID cards and Smart Tags. CloudSense devices send signals received to assistplus cloud in real-time and administrators were provided with a real-time dashboard which showed detailed reports and real-time data.

By adopting assistplus, our client was able to reduce lead time in searching for various assets in addition to the other RTLS features, and achieved a major boost in productivity and sales.
